Our Sample Sale is driven by our desire to increase sustainability and lessen our environmental footprint. We have always knit, dyed, printed, cut and sewn our products in Canada. The handmade nature of our process can produce slight imperfections as well as one of a kind results along the way. This can happen in the dyeing, printing and testing phases. Imperfections can include colour grading, printing pressure variations, patterns we test out, but never go into production with, and samples we use for photo shoots and media. Imperfection are not visible to most people except us, the people who create the products.
For four days in April and December each year, we gather our samples, misprints, off-cuts and seconds in a variety of styles and sizes to bring you our amazing Sample Sale at up to 80% off!
WHAT YOU'LL FIND
Misprints:
Items that may have a slight misprint from when we print our patterns onto the fabric. Misprints can include a small smudging of ink, not enough pressure applied when printing so a small area might be a little lighter than another, or a different colour than we intended. Misprints are usually small and not noticeable to most people except us – the people that designed and printed the fabric! Off-cuts: Pieces we make when we have extra fabric, but not enough for a full production run. Always in perfect condition, just a random assortment of pieces that don't make it into our regular collection. Seconds: Items that have small defects such as slight colour variations in the dyeing. Not visible to most people except us – the people that designed and printed the fabric! Samples: Pieces or sets that we use for production, show, photography, sales, media and development. These have not been worn, but have been handled for various projects.
